Playing Catch Up Is Not A Fun Game

So one of the things I am supposed to do around here besides killing and eating intruders is to share the pretty-paper-picture-story pages of Boss when she gets them done.  But if I am sleeping or chewing on my favorite bone, I am not so good at remembering the killing, eating, or sharing thing very well.  I have tried giving Boss the puppy dog eyes and whining a little (but only a little, and only in a cute little delicate way and not annoying at all) when she looks at me in all exasperatedness when my blog posts are devoted to squirrels and hamburger wrappers instead of her very nice pretty-paper-picture-story pages but that only works for so long and then I have to focus on doing whatever it was I promised in the first place.

I think I promised to eat lots of cupcakes.  Yes, that seems reasonable.
October 2000:  This picture is so old that it was almost taken in the 1900s.  They almost did not have cameras back then.  They certainly did not have any fashion sense, that is for sure.   And now Boss is giving me the squinty eyeball and frowny forehead look.  She says she was hot.  I guess I would be hot too if I had to wear a plastic-y looking jacket.  Except I am sure plastic was not invented back then.  Oh, and Boss would like me to tell you where the papers came from.  This is from The ScrapRoom.
June 2009:  Again with Boss and more hotness.  Because this is Florida in the summer!!!  That is crazy hotness.  Boss is a big fan of this kit from The ScrapRoom.  It is Maggie Holmes which is just the style of Boss.  Which is a nice way of saying too many patterns mixed together, but you did not hear that from me.
October 2009:  Boss insists that you can take any impossible photo to match colors to and there will be BasicGrey paper that is perfectness.  And awesomeness.  And BasicGreyness!  So you will not be surprised that Boss got this paper from BasicGrey in a Page of the Month Kit.  She is a fan.  A really big fan.  They are named after me, I think.
November 2009:  Okay, so Boss is really excited about sequins.  She got this kit from Cocoa Daisy and it came with sequins.  Which she did not like at first.  But it was because she was very much not understanding how to use them without using the swearing words.  But then Boss did the google thing and found out that glossy accents is a good glue.  Which made her say the "duh" word.  Oh, about the Cocoa Daisy kit?  Boss can not help it.  She loves paper.  All paper.  And she loves kits.  She can not help it.  She tried to feel bad about loving more than one paper kit company but she can not do that either.  She says she is good at loving more than one thing at one time because she has me and the boybarians.  And the cats I suppose.
July 2010:  So this is Boss fishing and being amazing at it.  I know, right?  She is almost a better boybarian than the boybarian horde themselves.  But do not tell them I said so.  Oh, and this paper came from The ScrapRoom.  It is October Afternoon and Boss adores it also.
August 2010:  Did you know we have very many most wonderful and awesomeness God-kids?  Well, it is true.  This is the Alex one.  Boss used a kit from the Paper Bakery and their sketch thing.  Yes, that is right.  Boss is now getting lots and lots of paper and refuses to be ashamed by that nonsense.  She says it is very much creative sparkness and opens her eyes to new ways of doing things.  I think she is just using the excuse words but whatever.
August 2010:  More of the most excellent ScrapRoom paper and the most excellent camping stuff that Boss and Big One and Talker and Player enjoy.  I have gone camping two times already and agree that it is pretty much better than anything.  Well.  It is not quite better than a squirrel carrying a hamburger wrapper right in front of me with my lead being not securely fastened.  The "camping" words are almost that awesome.  Almost.
February 2013:  LOOK!!!!  IT IS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  THIS IS AWESOMENESS!!!!!!  Oh, and it is Cocoa Daisy paper.  And no sequins thank goodness.
April 2013:  It is a frame thingy.  With a picture of Boss and Big One being adorableness.  I just want to push them into the ocean and then pee on their heads.  Because I did not get to go to the "belize" place and it looks like it was funtastic.  Boss agrees that it was awesomeness.  Like this Pink Paislee paper from The ScrapRoom.  She is pretending to not notice the statement about peeing on their heads.  She is tired from being the "mom" word today so I am getting away with extra snotiness.  Yes, my tail is wagging.  A lot.  A LOT.
May 2013:  These are the friends-of-Boss and she says she loves them very muchness.  You can not see friend-the-tallandstately in this picture but she was everywhere that weekend.  In the refrigerator too, apparently.  I am confused by this but Boss promises a totally amazingness and hilarious pretty-paper-picture-story page that shows this.  And this paper is from the Paper Bakery, which Boss met when she was with her friends.  And bought.  The paper, not the friends.  They are apparently priceless.  ???
May 2013:  Okay, I am not longer a big fan of mom-of-Boss.  I did not know she was documenting this and ratting me out to Boss.  And to make it worse, Boss used all those stupid sequins from Cocoa Daisy again.  This is probably very bad for me.  Boss will not share her popcorn with me if I am hogging her chair and her blanket and her prayer shawl.  I think I need to use the puppy dog eyes again.  Oh, and maybe the "prayer" words would help.

Old School Pretty-Paper-Picture-Story Pages

Boss is rolling her eyes at me.  You know this look, I think.

Boss says pretty-paper-picture-story pages that are not in pockets are not necessarily the "old school" words.  But I am the one writing this blog post, so I will be using the words I am choosing.  And I am choosing to use the "old school" words because I can.

Boss is muttering and is scrolling through her iPod for something called "The Smiths".  She says that if I am insisting on the "old school" words, then she will be doing the "owning it" words.  And then she said the "so there" words and stuck her tongue out at me.  Yes.  This is the "old school" words for sure!

Summer 2009 "Fore Them":  Boss uses BasicGrey POTM kit paper and does the "challenge" words from The ScrapRoom message board.  Boss had to use a page with pockets on it as inspiration.  But I will still call this the "old school" words because it is really just one piece of paper and not a lot.  Well.  It is actually a lot of pieces of paper, but Boss has piled them all up in one place.  Which is what Boss does.

Summer 2009 "Boy(s) of Summer":  Boss uses lots of ScrapRoom paper that is green on these pretty-paper-picture-story pages.  It is for another of the "challenge" words called Go Green.  And I think Boss was scared she might have to recycle something to do this challenge but it was only to use green paper and the most adorable photos of Talker and Player.  They are adorable, but I think inside they are secretly sad because I am not there yet.  In fact, I do not even think I was born yet!  Oh, very sad.
Winter 2009 "Takayo's First Bracelet":  Boss used this paper and the "just for fun challenge" words from over at Cocoa Daisy for this pretty-paper-picture-story page.  Boss likes to play with the same paper as her friends, and likes to get inspiration from everywhere, but Boss is starting to wonder if she could possibly have too much paper now.  And too many ideas.  (This would have been a sign of the apocalypse last year but I am much smarter about that now.  But those statements are startling, are they not?)  Boss says it is too hard to play with all of the paper everywhere all of the time and not take me for walks or cook food for the boybarians.  Boss wishes for more time in the day but it is not happening.  Even if she stomps her foot!
Fall 2011 "With Time Comes Amazing Change":  Boss did two things at the same time with this pretty-paper-picture-story page.  She did a challenge at The ScrapRoom message board about choosing her own challenge (what?  I know, right?) and the My Mind's Eye Sketch Challenge.  This is called the "double dipping" words and is more socially acceptable than the kind where a bunch of people are sharing one bowl of salsa.  Do not ask how I know this.
Valentine's Day 2013 "Valentine's 4 Boybarians":  Of course Boss made a pretty-paper-picture-story page of the pictures she made of Player, Talker, and Big One.  That is how Boss rolls.  Boss used pink flowery paper from The ScrapRoom and the boybarians did not seem to mind.  I think they were maybe still buzzing on all that sugar Boss gave them.

Boss is Everywhere

So I have been doing a little surfing.  Not the cool California kind of surfing with shaggy hair and driving background music and periodic slow motion photography.  No, the kind where if I am not very careful, I end up at websites that feature french poodles.  I do not know how this happens.  I really do not.  I think my browser must have a virus.  And not the zombie virus that the bat crazy cat has been focused on lately.  Just a word of advice:  do not come over here if you have dry skin.  Because the bat crazy cat is certain you have the zombie virus and you have started to decompose and your skin is falling right off.  And I know this is bat crazy, and you know this is bat crazy, and even this new cat knows this is bat crazy, but there is no reasoning with the bat crazy cat.  And winter lasts forever around here and the dry skin lasts just that long too, so we have many months of the zombie virus being the next horrible thing to befall this family.  It is ridiculous.

Anyway, I have been surfing.  And I have been very impressed with Boss, because I have found Boss out on the internets.  I am impressed and surprised because she is really not that clever with the whole blog and internets thing.  She tends to fake it and mostly gets lucky.  But that is just between you and me and we will not be discussing how she accidentally deleted the blog post of somebody else.  Somebody not her.  And somebody not her people.  So it was really quite dramatic that day and Boss was a little teary about it.

The first place I found Boss was over at The ScrapRoom.  Boss does a challenge over there where she wants you dig around for scraps and turn them into pretty-paper-picture-story pages.  This time it involves the "flower" word which is not so much my favorite thing so I will make a link and show you the pretty-paper-picture-story page Boss made and move on.
Boss is cute as a little girl.  And Boss says to not do the math on the date.  It must be some kind of typo.
Next, Boss was being the "inspiration" and "tutorial" words at Evalicious.  Boss cheated, I think, because she showed the same project two times.  This is called the "milking it" words.  But Boss thinks this is clever.  And tells me that the posts are two different things altogether and then she suggested that both of the readers of this blog could go and decide for themselves.  (Boss is now being insulting so I am AGAIN just going to make a link and another link and show you the paper thing that Boss made and move on AGAIN.)
This is a perpetual reminder calendar.  I think this means "tasty paper covered with tasty things" and I will test my theory later when Boss is not looking.
Finally, I found Boss over at Cocoa Daisy.  She won a prize for her pretty-paper-picture-story page about feeding us rocks!  I think the standards over at the Cocoa Daisy place must be pretty low for such a mean pretty-paper-picture-story page to win a nice prize like Boss won.  I am considering doing the "protest" word but I am not sure it will do much good as Boss tells me it is too late, and that I did not understand the pretty-paper-picture-story page that she made and that it is actually very quite nice from several angles.  So I think I will once again just cut to the link and the pretty-paper-picture-story page and go to bed and dream of french poodles.
See?  It is about rocks.  And that is not wonderful.  Good night.
